FEARS OF A GLOBAL BLACKOUT ON SEPTEMBER 24 2022 FLOOD TIKTOK

All sorts of scary things are being said about September 24 on TikTok, which has become the latest viral doomsday date.

People online are predicting the world will end on this day and conspiracies about a giant solar flare or asteroid that will wipe out earth are rife.

Now, another theory is going viral that says there will be a global blackout. Read on to find out what people are saying…

FEARS OF A GLOBAL BLACKOUT ON SEPTEMBER 24

On TikTok and Twitter, lots of internet users are saying the world will go dark on September 24 2022 in a global blackout.

These baseless rumours are nothing more than internet conspiracies, but people are running wild with the idea and videos are taking over social media.

“There’s gonna be a big blackout, a global wide blackout for either a day or maybe three days or something,” one person said on TikTok.

He claimed there is then going to be a “great reset” which is where everything gets turned back on and the world is different.

“My mom keeps telling me her whole TikTok fyp is talking about global blackout happening on the 24th and to get gas and food to prepare,” another wrote on Twitter.

A third person added “Global reset/blackout is imminent.”

“Saturday the September 24th, everyone will remember it. Loads of outlandish theories of the great reset or supernatural stuff,” someone else tweeted.

WHAT IS A GLOBAL BLACKOUT?

A global blackout is something the world has never experienced before, but it would involve all the world’s power going out.

All electricity would stop working across Earth, plunging the whole globe into darkness and quiet and causing chaos worldwide.

Street lights, computers, TVs, machinery and lots more everyday things would suddenly stop working, making the globe stand still.

A global blackout could last hours, days or even months depending on what caused the problem and how quickly it could be fixed.

People say that things like asteroids, cyber attacks or huge natural disasters could cause a global blackout, but no one knows what would really happen.

It’s pretty unlikely that a global blackout would occur in real life, but it’s something that conspiracy theorists always talk about.

Many conspire that a great reset would follow a global blackout, essentially relaunching life in a new way as the power returns.

PEOPLE SHUT DOWN THE SILLY CONSPIRACY
As with all end of the world meme dates, there’s no actual reason to believe the world is going to end or there will be a global blackout on September 24.

It’s happened loads of times before. One date goes viral on social media and everyone goes into a frenzy, but the world never actually ends.

On Twitter, lots of people are shutting down the ‘stupid’ conspiracy already, with one person writing: “I can confirm that nothing is happening on September 24th.”

“September 24th is the new meme date for end of the world now huh,” another sarcastically said.

A third person added: “TikTok currently has everyone believing that something really bad is about to happen on Sept 24th.”

“I am reliably informed that on the 24th September nothing is going to happen,” another tweeted.
